Deane, Norm, and Kay's Motorcycle / RV Trip to Northern Canada and Alaska | |

August 14, Glacier National Park |
|
Today was our day to go into Glacier National Park. We wanted to ride from the West entrance up and over the "Going to the Sun Highway" and down to the East entrance, and Deane, Norm, and Dave did just that, while Kay decided to go on a red and black 1930's style Glacier Park Tour Bus, to get guided tour information while riding along. The day was absolutely perfect, with bright and sunny blue skies all day. this was particularly good in view of the fact that Deane had been here three prior times, with fog one time, rain one time, and cold and partly overcast another time. There aren't many snow or icefields now. Kay's guide said that the number of glaciers had declined from thirty to nine since the park opened in 1920.
